The Needles venture began in 1988 when Keizo Shimizu began experimenting with juxtapositions of American-made staples with Japanese shapes and fabrics. The result was tricky hybrids that the designer has perfected, so much so that all the cool kids are now catching on. The Japanese label spreads its butterfly wings with this rendition of its fan-favourite track pants. They’re pleated at the leg and every angle of their stretchy breathable fabric is covered with star jacquard.
